A Carnegie Mellon University alumnus (Tepper School of Business), Jie brings over 20 years of experience spanning proprietary trading, scaled operations, and technology consulting. He spent 11 years as a senior equity trader at Trillium Trading, then co-founded COFFEED, a social enterprise coffee company that grew to 16 locations, $9 million in revenue, and 120 employees. Today he works with nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and public sector agencies across New York City — designing technology systems that fit the way organizations actually operate. He also builds the products behind Akil Ventures — including askAkil.ai, a NYC government intelligence platform, and Akil OS, a modular operating system for nonprofit operations.
